Greetings from a very sunny and warm Camp New Hope!
Meet Brandon age 14 from Richlands, NC. Brandon has Battens Disease a non treatable, non curable neurological disease that is unfortunately always fatal. Brandon is now blind which is one of the side effects of this disease. Today Brandon visited a local art studio, Big Ivy and he really enjoyed making something special with his hands to take home at the end of the week. Tomorrow we plan to take him on a hay ride and then canoeing later on this week. Brandon is so full of himself, is very well mannered and has a great BIG smile that just melts your heart. Brandon is here with his family and we are so excited about his time here with us. Hope you enjoy the attached pictures.
Please pray for this special young man as well as his family. Again, thank you for all you do for the camp. Remember to get on the website @ www.campnewhopenc.com to see pictures of our recent renovations.
For the children,
Randy and all the Volunteers
