Meet Noah age 5 and our guest this week. Noah was checked by his Hospice nurse yesterday and had a fever so after assessing him he was taken to Ashe Memorial via ambulance where they stabilized him and transported him again via ambulance to the hospital in Winston Salem. Noah is a sick little fellow. Mom road with Noah in the ambulance, Dad borrowed my vehicle since they drive a HUGE bus and followed to the hospital so I had the pleasure of watching Noah's 7 siblings! I kinda felt like to old woman who lived in a shoe! Noah is in intestinal failure and probably has some type infection but the physicians are running test to see if they can help him. Noah will probably not be back to the camp but we are going to do the best we can keeping the others occupied. The older boys would like to canoe so that is our plan today. Please keep Noah in your prayers as well as his family. It was sad here last evening without Noah but the experience has also made us even more aware of why we do what we do.
Thank you so much to Will and Mark Adkins who provide this wonderful place for these hurting families. We all are SO blessed.
