Greetings from a chilly Camp New Hope…
Miquel and his family had wonderful time while visiting us at Camp New Hope. Miquel has Epilepsia Partialis Continua and also suffers from Celebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus, Agenesis of Corpus Callosum, Arachnoid Cyst and Migrational Abnormality. Epilepsia Partialis Continua is a rare type of brain disorder in which the patient experiences recurrent motor epileptic seizures that are focal (hands and face), and recur every few seconds or minutes for extended periods (days or years). Although he appears to be a healthy young boy, he is on seizure medication to help him cope with his medical condition. Miquel loves to read books with his mom and is doing very well in school. While at Camp New Hope Miquel explored nature and of course rode the Kubota and visited a local farm where he rode a horse drawn buggy and went on a hay ride.
